Cyclosporin is an immunosuppressant drug used to prevent rejection after solid organ transplantation. It has a narrow therapeutic window and is associated with many side effects. Therapeutic drug monitoring is therefore essential to optimise immunosuppression, minimise adverse effects and check patient compliance.
