The POCT D-Dimer test is intended to be used within acute areas of South of Tyne and Wear hospitals for patients being assessed for potential Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or Pulmonary Embolism (PE).

Interferences:

There is no significant effect on test results from the following:

• Haemolytic, icteric or lipaemic samples
• Fibrinogen up to 8,000,000 µg/L
• IgG up to 16,000,000 µg/L
